Going Rogue This Valentine’s

Valentine’s Day is one of those weird occasions – some people love it, some hate it, and some have no clue what to do with it! If you’re struggling with what to do this Valentine’s Day, look no further. We’ve a couple suggestions to get your creative juices flowing.

  1. Escape room
Who doesn’t love an escape room? If you’re looking to do something a little different from your usual dinner-and-a-movie date, escape rooms are becoming more and more popular. If you love a challenge and fancy something to get you and your date working as a team, escape rooms are a brilliant option. They’re popping up everywhere, so you have plenty of different difficulties and options to choose them!
  2. Host a cocktail competition at home
Unsurprisingly, this is a favourite of ours! Head to the shop and bag yourselves some different kinds of booze, fruit, and other various ingredients, then head home and take turns making cocktails! Rate each other on things like flavour, presentation, creativity – or whatever you can think of.
  3. Take a train going nowhere
Just make sure you have a way to get home! This is a great way to explore some parts of the country that you haven’t been to before. Choose a general direction and chuck yourselves on a train, and get off wherever you feel like it. Take a few hours to explore the area and be spontaneous – you’ll make some incredible memories and have a story to tell by the end of the day.
  4. **Make it old school **
This is a quirky one! Plan your date as if it’s taking place in a different era. For example, you could go fifties and go roller-skating, with milkshakes to follow. Or you could choose a seventies night, chuck on some bell-bottoms, and find a disco brunch to spend Saturday afternoon at. The possibilities here are limitless – you can set whatever parameters you want! Just have fun with it, and snap some silly pics to remember the day by.

And failing all of this… There’s always a TCC close by, right?
